Nicole M. Torres

Nicole M. Torres. Esq. is the Associate Attorney at the Aguilera Law Center, P.A. From a young age, Nicole had a strong interest in social injustices and fairness. She became an attorney to respond to her call to help people through their hardest time of need. Nicole was born and raised in Puerto Rico, by her parents, who taught her the importance of helping others and giving back to the community. Her father was the Chief Financial Officer of a cement construction company that provided services all over the island. Her mother volunteered to organize galas fundraising money for research and outreach support for AIDS and Breast Cancer organizations.

In 2001, her family moved to Miami in search of better educational opportunities for Nicole. As Nicole worked full time, she attended evening classes and obtained her bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Florida International University. She studied and received her law degree from Florida International University College of Law. During her law school career, she made the dean’s list several times and clerked for judges at different State courts and the Federal District Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Nicole was co-founder and president of the Marijuana Law Society, which provided updates of the tumultuous legal landscape to students and professors at her university. She spearheaded collaborative efforts for the Marijuana Law Society to give pro bono legal assistance alongside criminal attorneys helping people expunge their records of marijuana convictions in the tri-county area.

During law school, Nicole also worked at The Aguilera Law Center as a paralegal assisting in civil, criminal, and family cases. Soon after graduating law school, she had a beautiful daughter. As she cared for her newborn daughter, Nicole studied and passed the Florida Bar. The Aguilera Law Center welcomed her back with open arms in 2024 as an Associate Attorney.
